Internships & School Credits
Thank you for turning to Habitat for Humanity of Wichita Falls to fulfill your school community service hour requirements. We are happy to help you fulfill your required hours and we lookforward to working with you. We want this volunteer experience to be rewarding, so there are certain guidelines we maintain as a way to stay organized and ensure a positive working relationship.
We offer various internship opportunities to college/university, trade school, or graduate school students. Internships are offered on a semester basis according to departmental or organizational needs. Internships allow students to volunteer in a broad range of capacities from working with staff members to assisting in tasks ranging from administrative work to the creation of new programs and events. Our internships are excellent opportunities for students to gain practical real-world work experience and earn course-work credit with the approval of their institution. It is the intern's responsibility to coordinate communication between their academic institution and HFHWF staff and Volunteer Coordinator.
Qualifications vary by internship and some positions may require specific training or availability. Internship candidates must be 18 years of age, those wishing to strictly volunteer need to be at least 16 years of age.
Current Internship openings are:
-
Marketing intern
-
Special events Coordinator
-

-

Interested candidates should send a cover letter, resume, and which internship they are applying for to dev-habitat@habitatwf.com.
